DNA Bioscience has launched the country's first DNA product dedicated
to people who have conceived through donated sperm or eggs, their
donors and half-siblings to confirm that they are related by a quick,
simple and accurate biological relationship test. The product was
launched in parallel to the register which is being trialled by
donor link http://www.ukdonorlink.org.uk/ and is designed specifically
for anyone over the age of 18 who was conceived using donated sperm,
eggs, or who donated in the UK, before the Human Fertilisation and
Embryology Act came into force in August 1991. This test will be
available throughout the UK
DNA Bioscience also offers the same test to families that have traced
their biological parents and want to confirm this relationship.
